Default Headlight keeps exploding

1993 f150 302 5.0 2wd e4od

Hey guys. Weird problem. I noticed my right headlight was out so I pull the bulb out and it was shattered and the element looked corroded. So I buy a brand new one and after driving for the day here and there I notice the light is out again. I pull it and same thing. What the hell. I can't afford 10 lights in trial and error. Any ideas?

I should add- I live in central florida and it has been raining like mad here. There is light condensation in the headlight.....

Bad ground somewhere or wet contacts, also you should replace both lights at the same time cause of different filament quality. Look around the harness and the ground for the lights should be on top of the rad support on the drivers side.

P.S don't touch the bulb glass with you're bare fingers

The bulb is getting wet. The headlight is leaking. There should be no condensation inside.

Yes, they explode when they get wet. You might be able to peel the lens from the back and reseal it with clear silicone. That's what I did.

Clean all the shattered bits of old bulb out of housing, it could be bouncing around breaking the new bulbs.

Definitely leaking around the bulb. I had a problem with water in my lights and when I took them out to look at em, there was a metal clip that had somehow broken off inside the light and therefore the light wasnt sealed from the water.

I just decided to replace everything. I came out for around $75 for all new front lights from amazon.

A tube of silicone is $6 and you can have it in your hand that day.
