Default Headers

Hey guys so I'm kinda looking at doing headers as a possibility and was wondering if anyone has done them and how hard they are to do. You don't have to pull the engine or anything do you? If someone could give me an idea of what you'd have to do to put headers in. Also will they mount right up to the exhaust where it sits right now or do you have to do some bending or something?

shorty headers will work and bolt tot he existing exhaust but then you have to deal with the EGR tube...unless the headers you get have provision for it...

the summit racing brand shorty headers hook up to everything stock that your manifolds would hook up to (or so they claim)

Or if you like it loud like myself buy longtubes run a couple feet of pipe and dump some Purple Hornies right before the rear axle. They go in no problem me and my bro did them in a night.

Mike:

Is there any way we can get you to crawl under your whip and take a pic of the long tubes and pipe? Ive been flipping the coin on this for a few months but cant figure a good way to do it.

Ya man I'm gonna be crawlin around under there tomorrow cleanin all the mud and crap out so I'll take some pics.

I will say that I'm not a huge fan of the Dynomax headers I got. I was hoping powdercoated would last a little longer than they did but the finish is pretty shot.

Its a 12 ft Scamper I think seventy something. It looks a lot better in that pic then it does now lol. The mud covers the crappy spots. Last bush party we were at, which is pretty much what its for, my stupid drunk brother, who is half owner, busted out two windows and the thing over the front window. All the lights need to be rewired and the bunk was broke out when we got it but other than that everything works (furnace, stove, water) and its real clean inside so for $600 bucks can't really complain.

Sorry man I forgot my camera at the farm again but I'll get 'em up tomorrow. I got a vid of the exhaust to so I'll get that up as well.

What's the cheapest header option? And where can I get them? Summits are only like 150
