Default Having some issues

I have a 1994 Ford F-150 XLT...when pushing the accelerator down...the truck won't move up to speed as if it's going to stall out unless I put my foot in it...The truck also makes a knocking sound while I'm trying to accelerate and it seems as though there isn't any gas in the tank...Like I'm running on nothing...The pistons are turning at a normal rate...so, my only guess is the fuel injectors need a cleaning or the basic spark plugs & wires need replaced. Other then that Im good on the transmission fluid and motor oil level is normal. On the other hand, I know I need new suspension, tires, wheel alignment, and another oil
change 1000mi from now....but I don't know exactly what the hell is going on...the truck will jerk slowing the vehicle down with a loud *** thud unless the car has been driven for 45 min minimum...then the **** stops...any suggestions?

Make sure your transmission kick-down cable is still connected. How long has it been since you've changed the fuel filter on the frame? Does this happen after a rough patch of road or from the get go?

*Joining the bandwagon*

Error code scan?

Without knowing error codes, this is a looooonnnnggg stretch but, sounds similar to an issue I'm having. My TPS is almost *pooched*. It will sometimes take several tries to start the truck and just recently started noticing some "accelerator" issues like your describing. Do an error code scan and post your findings, I'm sure with that you'll get more responses. Heck, you may even get that cigar your looking for!

I agree with the fuel filter idea, even if it isnt bad, replacing it is gen. maintenance and a good idea. Same with plugs and wires if you dont know how old they are. I think techrep is hinting that your in tank pump might be bad. Thats a good thing to check. If switching between tanks doesn't seem to help then that probably isnt it, unless both failed at the same time. If its the cat, it will be glowing red hot after a good little drive, so thats easy to check too. I would suggest checking your timing, if its off like mine was, it will kill your acceleration and make the truck run hot, and just cause it to run lousy over-all. It's easy enough to check too if you have a timing light. Theres plenty of how-to's on here for doing that. And hackersmovie is right, checking for codes should be the very first thing you do. Even if the light isnt on, there can still be codes. Don't try solving the problem without reading the directions on the test first. Well, thats my morning cup of advice.

Oh, and here you go.

What can I say? haha But hopefully one of those suggestions everybody gave nails it, because those are all pretty cheap fixes.

We can only hope. Some, more than others. Especially after his pep talk!
