having issues going into first gear...
Truck is a 1995 4.9 with 137k that I aquired about a month ago.
It's Got a md505 trans in it. (5speed)
As the title states I'm having issues going into first gear. My clutch pedal seems to have play until halfway depressed then grabs the clutch. But when the pedal is to the floorboard the clutch will only engage when the pedal is half way up.
I have fluid in my clutch master cylinder.
Anyone have any ideas?

You can crack the bleeder screw on the clutch slave cylinder, it sticks out on the drivers side of the transmission and let some fluid drain out, close the bleeder and pump the clutch pedal many times and quickly to rebuild the pressure.

My truck leaks a decent amount of oil so at the moment the bellhousing is covered in oil, not sure if its leaking break fluid or not but I did pull the inspection hole and I did not see any signs of the slave cylinder leaking.
I will bleed the pressure tomorrow to see if that's it. It's strange how it all of a sudden doesn't want to go into first gear!
You don't bleed them like brakes. Open the bleeder once and watch for air, if there's air open it again. With a helper holding the pedal down. Once you open the bleeder you will lose all pedal pressure. Then you pump the hell out of the pedal until it builds back up. If you open the bleeder again you have to start all over. Sometimes it takes a lot of pumping to bring the pedal back up.
