Default Glue Removal!

Need some help removing glue from the bed of my truck. The previous owner had the bad carpeted with a camper shell and used it for camping. I have stripped the carpet but I'm stuck with this glue! Don't know if i's carpet glue or liquid nails or what. Hard as a rock. Tried scraping it, but there's no way! This stuff is on the sides of the bed and the front of the bed. Anyone have any ideas besides a grinder?

Yep, looks like Liquid Nails. If it's glue mineral spirits should loosen it up, but Liquid Nails will probably have to be chiseled off.

I think I'll find myself a plastic bed liner. Allot less work! I'm down with back problems, hopefully very short term and I'll figure out which route I am going to take. Looks like I'll wind up having to do a spray on bed liner if I get the glue off. I imagine it will take some paint off with it. I want to get the old girl looking decent again and the bed looks like crap!

Liquid nails web site says to heat to 140 degrees with a heat gun or blow drier or coat with petroleum jelly or mineral spirits for several hour to days.
