Default Fuse keeps blowing!

I have a 1996 f150 300/6 and I just replaced the pushrod cover gastket and did have to move a few wires around but not to many, and then took it for a test drive and my #13 fuse blew, and now right when I put the fuse in blows instantly even if the truck is not running. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Find out what circuit that fuse is for and trace the wires until you find your bad spot.

You have a direct short to ground, you can verify that with a multimeter, like others said, find the wires in that circuit and look at all of them for being pinched or rubbing on any metal

Ya I think I found the problem. The plug on top of the brake cylinder had brake fluid leaking on it and was all corroded and after I took that plug of the fuse would not blow any more

If your talking about the plug on your master brake cylinder under the good make sure you check to see if you had the recall done if not you run the risk of your truck catching on fire just a bit of advice if you see 2 plugs on it and one has an inline fuse then your recall is done if not it probably wasn't done if your unsure you can call ford with your vin number and they can look it up and tell you if it has or hasn't been done

That plug is very important ford had to do a recall because the brake fluid that leaked on the plug was causing trucks to catch on fire. It's a simple fix if it hasn't been done just call ford with your vin number and ask if the recall was done on your truck and if the say no take your truck to any ford dealer and they will fix it free of charge
