ok men I need some serious brain work,My Problem: 1990 F150 4x4 5.8,began to rev up and down, code reader says replace idle control valve or module depending on who you speak to,did that still same problem. Took it to shop and mech tried hooking two different computers and the truck wouldn't talk to either one,my question is this,What else do I have to replace to get my truck running good again, map sensor, tps sensor, ecm???? The mech couldn't tell me cause my trucks stuck up, anybody had this problem,I need help !!! please.

I replaced my iac when my truck did the same thing. But mine idled worse after that. I replaced the tps and egr at the same time and that fixed it. Leave your battery in hooked for 30mins to reset your computer after replacing the tps.

Pull the codes yourself. Read the sticky for instructions.

Did you spray cleaner directly into the intake and wipe away build-up or did you spray onto the towel and wipe away build up? It makes a big difference. My brother and I did it both ways and spraying directly into the intake will **** your gaskets and o-rings up.

I had to take the throttle body off to change tps so I did spray cleaner in the intake ports on the butterflys and wiped it out, others seem to think it has to be vacuum leak but I haven't found it yet, I know its driving me nuts, running good one day and then this,I had one nimrod telling me it jumped time,go figure.
