Question Front Clip Conversion

I'm just wondering if a front clip from an 88 F-250 will bolt directly to a 96 F-150 or vise-versa with little to no modifications? thanks in advance for the help

Whichever way you swap, you need the headlights, grill, panel under the grill, fenders, radiator support, cowl panel, hood, and probably the bumper. I say probably the bumper because they look like they will interchange between '87-'96 but I haven't tried. So yes, change all that and it will bolt right on.

Yes you can, I seen it done from a late 80's - 91 style to a 92-97 clip. Not sure what is involved but it was done.

it dont line up as good as the original but it will work

I assume you're talking about the bumper, right? Using the newer on the older or vice versa. Because the fenders line up perfectly.

If the body lines do not match you will need to shim the mounting brackets, shims should be readily available at most parts stores. There is slight differences in the body and front clips so different shims will be needed to match body lines.
