fog lights
I wouldn't wire the fog lights in with your factory light switch. Wiring a toggle swich, in my opinion, is a much better idea. Has a lot to do with how you want to aim your fog lights, local laws, etc. Flipping one (or in my case, two), switches to flip them on isn't all that much work.
Using the light switch for power to the switch is fine, the switch is only a trigger for the relay and adds almost no extra load on that circuit. Then you still can turn off the lights while leaving the headlights on and the fogs will turn off with the headlights too. I thought that's what you said you were doing.
Go for it. I'm not tryin' to stop you. You can tap into the power wire right there at the headlamps. Just make sure you tap into the power for the dim lights. Its illegal most places to run fog lights with your brights.
why do you have the relays? i got a lighted toggle switch so i ran a power wire from my positive of batter with a fuse and a wire for the lights onto the parking light wire so if i leave the switch on they will turn off when i turn the head lights off. on my car i ran a straight power from battery and then would forget to turn them off and go to start car and battery would be dead. i like the 4kc day lighters. i got the brush guard and i want to add more lights to it. now i have the sides on the brush guard. o and not to thread jack here but does anyone know if that front valance that has holes in it on the lightning fit on regular f150's? i want to put fog lights on the bottom of the bumper.
