Default flag mounting ideas?

heres the deal. in my area theres a group called "The Warriors Watch" which is a group of bikers and other joes in cars that escort soldiers, marines, airmen and seamen-giggle- when they return from overseas. its pretty good, i got this treatment when i came home from Iraq and my brother from Afgahnistan(we got back within the same few days and had a party at the VFW) i need some ideas on how to mount a flag on my bronco that would be pretty sturdy enough to drive without it flying off. right now all i got is using a couple screw type hose clamps and clamping to the spare tire carrier on the right side of the truck. i know you cant see it in the pic but you know what i mean. thanks for any ideas you might have

i thought about that, but for these rides/drives i wanted to use a bigger flag, and thought it would pull back on it too much

Does the Bronco roof have the luggage rack delete plates like the Blazer? That would be a good place to mount a stiff flagpole.

I ride with the Patriot Guard in SC and I have seen many different flag mounting ideas as you can imagine. I have seen the spare tire mount on the back get the most use. Usually the ride captain will inspect all mounts to avoid any accidents. Hose clamps will work fine. I have seen the plastic zip ties fail............Good Luck

i agree that the spare tire seems to be the more sturdy place. maybe you can get a couple of this U bolt shapped clamps and secure them to your spare tire.
