Extras and Performance?
I was looking to put some money into my truck gentlemen.
I was figuring air filter as one of the first things, which brand? what does it help, is it a good idea? Beyond that, quick easy things to put into to make it either faster, better gas mileage or something among those categories. Still new to owning my own truck and being able to do what i want with it. Thanks guys.

That'd be the best bang for your buck, lots of guys on here have done it. Its well worth your time and money. K&N filter is always a good upgrade as well, and a good exhaust system doent hurt anything.

thanks for the advice, although that link is broken
lol im not for sure if i need to be signed up for that forum or what, but when i get to it, it just says it cant find it. does the K&N go into the case for the stock air filter or is it a whole seperate part?

Try that one again....
I would just a drop in K&N, it goes in the same spot your paper filter does.

new coil and wires will give you some power but if you got money add on things are injectors
fuel pump
headers
heads
intake
throtle body
oil pump
windage tray
these are add ons and of corse the supper charer or turbo
but if you want power heads are the way to go put a new cam lifters rods all new valve train kick it over to full roller with the 1.7 rockers aluminum heads polish port and you can gain from all that 100hp but lose your wallet thats for sure

In a nutshell:
K&N FULL INTAKE, not just the drop in filter
Exhaust - either cat back or full headers back system, could also do shorty headers and cat back, whatever you wallet will allow
Ignition upgrade as already posted but, I'd go a step further and recommend the E3 spark plugs as well.
Underdrive pulleys - very contraversial but, well worth the $70 to gain 8-15HP
Synthetic fluids - change all fluids, oil, trans, diff, etc over to a synthetic fluid
Seafoam! - in the engine and trans!
You can quite easily do everything I've listed above for $750 or less depending upon the products you choose.
Good luck!
