The *explitive* transmission won't drop

It's a Canadian thing eh!
Ok, so dust shield bolts removed, starter ad bolts removed, transmission brace unbolted and removed, drive shaft, clutch line, reverse wires, shifter and transmission bolts. Thats all that holds in the transmission.
If you got all that out then the input shaft must be hung up in the clutch hub. Keep working it back and forth, helps if you have a transmission jack or floor jack with some blocks of wood to slide it out.

Ah well, I'll try the cable ratchet tomorrow, prob try some tow webbing to get a good solid connection to the trans, then hope I don't hear any snaps or other important things breaking

Input shaft stuck in pilot bearing likely the culprit. Try spraying the input shaft with aerokroil or pb blaster. Go smoke a cigarette drink a beer. Using a long chisel and small ball peen hammer apply a few solid taps to the input shaft. Using a friend and two pry bars apply separating force at opposing sides of trans. Cheer loudly and drink multiple beers when trans is sitting on driveway.

When I pulled the 5 speed from my 92 all the prying in the world wouldn't move it!
So I hooked the winch of my Atv on the tail end of the trans and parked the quad at the rear bumper and pulled... it popped right out!

It was one of those clusterfluff models that Ford just said screw it and threw all their spare parts into make one truck
So yeah, based on the VIN, I know it's an 87, I also know it has 5 gears and a reverse, it also has an internal slave cylinder, which is really strange because when I looked it up at work, only shows external slaves...somewhat awkward asking one's boss "WTF is up with these slaves? They just don't work right"
But yeah, this has been a total nightmare of a repair, at this point, it's been put on hold again while we acquire sufficient prying implements, also I'm thinking a 12 pack of shiner should do the job

Try getting a buddy to turn the engine over with a wrench as you pry back on the tranny,
I had to do that and use two jacks, one at the rear of the bellhousing, an one on the tail shaft an alenate raising an lowering them oppositte of each other to wiggle the trans up and down, once i had some gap i lowered the rear jack, inserted a prybar in the gap at the top of the bellhousing, jacked up the rear jack and alternated up and down until it popped loose. Only took a couple days.
