Default The *explitive* transmission won't drop

So I'm currently working on an 87 f150 with the Mazda 5 speed on it, and having quite a bit of trouble removing it, I've taken out (from what I can tell) all six of the bell housing bolts attaching it to the straight 6 engine

At this point, I've tried prying it back with no success, and it just hangs on the engine

Right now, my only conclusion is gremlins, but I'm hopeful that someone has a better fix other than setting the truck on fire.

Yes, and yes, one of the dust cover bolts was missing, but I've ran my hands all around it, and the best I can figure out is that it's stuck on the guide pins, because I've been able to pry it back about 1-2mm away from the brackets that the bell housing bolts to, I've tried raising and lowering the trans assembly and even tried shaking it to the point the entire engine was moving (risky I know, but I was mad), only thing I can think of that's holding it are those two pins

Push the clutch pedal?
Let me guess, the slave cylinder is bad, or unhooked already.

Yea, internal slave, it blew out, so I can't get pressure to it, I was thinking it could be engaging the clutch, but that wouldn't make sense, because once the line pressure is off, it wouldn't be engaged...right?

Do you mean the shift **** and arm? Or more of the base assembly itself?

just the shifters them selves. If your positive you have all bolts out you can try a trick i had to do once to get a trans out of a old chev i had. I took a come along and carefully wrapped one end it around the back of the trans and hooked the other to the rear bumper all under the truck. Try to get as straight of a pull as possible and slowy come along it in till you have tension on the cables and your pulling on the back of the trans. Then take a pry bar and see if you can get it to come off the pins. Make sure you have a jack or something under the trans in this process. It worked for me if your willing to try it works best with two people.

One more thing did you take the cross member out or just take the trans mount off?
