So i cut down my exhaust system today since i'm going true dual with new headers.

Behind the cat there's a tube (i think its aluminum) that goes up to the engine bay and connects to.. whatever it is. What's this tube and what do i do with it when i go true dual?

 

thats your EGR tube... you need that lol

 

All right, i thought it might be But, when i go dual exhaust, what do i do with it? Will i need to make another egr tube for the second exhaust?

 

The one near the cat goes to the smog pump. If you don't have inspections then remove it.

What does the smog pump do exactly?

We do have annual inspections with emission tests

 

It is supposed to aid in the combustion of unburnt fuel by adding oxygenated air to the exhaust.

 

I guess its likely i'll need it to pass emissions test. Guess i'll just make an y-pipe to the dual exhausts?

Another question, what about the sensory thingy thats on the exhaust y-pipe? What do i do with it when i'm goiung dual?

 

are you talking about the o2 sensor??

 

Beats me, its the only sensor mounted anywhere at the exhaust system. It has three wires coming from it, black and white
