Take pipe off after cat, get a couple of extension pieces, an elbow, a floomaser 20 or 30 ser muffler, a couple of clamps, a hanger, should sound good, and do it in 2 1\2 if cat is 2 1\4, or if cat is 2" get adapter to 2 1\4 and do it in 2 1\4. Its a cheap exhaust. Motors still need a little back pressure.

Flowmaster 40 series sounds nice on the 4.9's. weld the muffler as close to the resonator or cat (if you still have them) as you can, then run 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 inch duals and angle them out the sides, right behind the back tires. i would use 4'' by 10'' tips. it will sound good. hope that helped.

First its not too smart to have exhaust exit under the truck, and yes it should have some sort of muffler for a little back pressure, besides its proven actually having a muffler produces more power.

I cant say, that is preference, personally I would save the money and do what I did, I did my exhaust for $60.00 with a cheap muffler.

You don't need a muffler. You don't need to worry about back pressure.

LMAO, you sound exactly like me, ask for advice and go the total opposite direction. I don't know why we do it. Im sure theres an underlying reason.
