Default Exhaust help

Ok so no shops here will take 2 cats off and put one back on so how can I make my truck have a nice deep, better sound. Currently I have a straight pipe and the 2 oem cats. What can I do guys? This is getting frustrating from all the calls I've made.

Will it sound better if I replace the strait pipe with a flowmaster?

I had a flowmaster orig 40 on mine, and it was ok. I put duals with 18" glasspacks on my 5.0 and I like it a lot better than the fm and the glasspack should make it deeper than straights I think.

I guess I'm luck that I got an exhaust guy that doesn't care about the cats. I said somethin bout puttin a hiflow on and he said f*** it they're just a pain in the *****. So I ended up with true duals with nothin but a glasspack on each side

Beat the **** out of the cat with a sledgehammer. Many emissions strict places aren't allowed to replace a perfectly good cat but if it's damaged they have to.

If I beat it with a rubber mallet how do I get the ceramic chunks out? Is one end bolt on so I could beat it the vacuum it out?

That's not what I meant.

I had to cut mine off to hollow it out.

I know but I can't weld. It looked like the front end was bolted on if so I'll beat it if not I'll cut it and clamp and seal it.

Well this still requiress you to weld , but if you cut the heatshield out, cut open a hole on it fairly large and chip it out with anything you ccan fit in there and empty it into a bucket by pulling it out by hand. Now comes the welding, weld the little panel you cut off back on and then the heatshield, if you do a good job it looks untouched, maybe you can find a welder locally that'll do it or something.

Any way to not weld? I'll mess with it today.
