Cool Engine Troubles

I'm new to the forum and am so glad I found it, I've learned a lot already.

I have a 1992 Ford F150 with a 1988 302 in it. I'm having engine troubles. They started when I pulled my brother in law's truck. While doing it I blew out the upper intake gasket and one of the valve cover gaskets. I replaced both. I also checked and my throttle position sensor was shorted out so I replaced it. I fixed the gaskets and replaced the tpi sensor. Then I cut out the catalytic converter and put a straight pipe in instead because I thought the cat converters might have been clogged which is what caused the blow out. I left the oxygen sensor in the same position. The problem is that when it drives and goes into overdrive or shifts and goes to a lower rpm the engine chugs like its not getting enough fuel and starts to shake or is working hard. I checked the engine mount bolts and they are tight. I ran a koeo test with my EEC IV tester and still come up with codes of 122 and 334. I thought that changing the tpi sensor would fix it. Has anybody else ever had this problem or can suggest that I check something else. My thought is to do a compression test. Thanks to the post regarding Seafoam I've already Seafoamed my engine too to see if that helps. Any ideas?

I thought all my vehicles had clogged catalytic converters.

Is the TPS getting power? Why was it shorted? The EGR may be stuck open and/or may not be functioning.

I checked the EGR sensor last night and the sensor isn't getting any power. I'm going to replace it tonight. The TPS was shorted because of the blow in the upper intake gasket. I had oil in the intake and oil was on the tps which is what I think shorted it out.

Would my truck act that way too if the torque converter was damaged?

Changing the sensor isn't going to make it get power.

Default Figured out what's wrong

So, I figured out why my engine was having problems. I took my truck to a mechanic how knows transmissions and he checked and told me that its not my transmission but my engine. A compression check confirmed that cylinder number 2 has no compression. So I've decided to rebuild my motor. I'm excited to get the engine out and apart so I can see what wrong.

Has anybody on here ever put a Lunati Bracket Master II cam into their 1988 Ford F150 motor?
