i say go for it, this will be a cool swap. my roommate put a 5.0l in a ranger and it looks stock. just make sure you have everything lined up before you start chopping away.

Do the research first. I had my swap done in a week. '86 S10 Blazer carbureted 2.8. Put in a fuel injected 3.1 from a Firebird, had the whole car. Different type of swap but I did a lot of little things integrating the engine to the truck.
