Default Egr

Does the egr valve do anything on the truck. because my truck i have now has the code 332 EGR Valve not opening (EVP/PFE/DPEE).

EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. If you took it off, blocked off the hole and the tube the engine would not notice the diffrence. It would just have that code all the time.

Default Hold on...

If you block it off you might not pass emissions inspection if you have to get one. I think it's right on top of your engine it shouldn't be too hard to change.

You can pull the vacuum hose off on the egr valve,and apply vacuum,if it starts to idle rough or stalls its not the egr valve itself,might be the vacuum solenoid thats not applying vacuum to the egr valve.You should try to fix the problem and not bypass anything.

im missing the vaccum line going to the EGR would that affect my choke up problem when i stomp it to the boards?
