Default E40D Same 90-93 ?

Will a 1993 4x4 f150 with 302 motor's tranny work in a 1990 f150 4x4 with 302 motor ?

Im going to want to say yes, because all the really changed on these models was the looks, all the parts should be the same, just check the trans number against yours, and visually inspect it.

In '92 the trucks switched to the electric speedometer but it doesn't really matter since it's 4x4, that would be on the transfer case. I am fairly certain they are the same too. Just check the electrical plugs and if they are the same then it should work.

Default Tranny Preventitive seals/parts ?

tranny is an hrs drive, guy is taking it off his truck tomorrow, i was hoping i could find out, before having to drive up there to check.

Call a junkyard, they have the interchange list. So they don't give you a hard time since you just want info, tell them you're looking for a tranny for your truck and want one from a '92-'96 because you heard they are built stronger and you want to know if it will work.

But I'm pretty sure the 4x4 ones are the same.

Thanks gents, tranny is in the back of my truck, its going thurs night, if we don't get it swapped, fri morning we will finish !

The Shift linkage piece that connected to the tranny is different... as well the wire harness is different... i hope the tranny still works !
