Default dumb question here

I can hear a click when I turn on windshield wipers, but 90% of the time they don't move...when they do come on, they move slow. Is this the motor or something else...btw, I have a plow on my f150, and they quit in the middle of a damn blizzard!

Motor might be going, they are easy to get to, the magnets in the motor probably broke loose, same thing happens with the window motors. Also check the arms for any binding.

There's no such thing as a dumb question.... If you hear the click loudly and it seems like it's coming from in the cab....I believe there's a wiper motor relay behind the glovebox.

I hear a click sound cominf from under my dash when I turn the wipers on. Only a couple of the delay settings seem to work, as well as the low and high settings. I'm thinking the wiper relay is going bad on mine.

Do any of the settings on yours work?

Worth a shot to change the relay first, I just did my motor not long ago, motor itself started moving really slow and making noise. But I gotta say...I disagree about the ease of getting to it. It was a pain in the ace. Gotta take the whole vent tin off in front of the windshield, then the hood gets in the way, and not much room to get your hands in there. Def doable but a little time consuming.

"DUMB" & "FORD" are both four letter words ........Coincidence? I think not.
