Default Does it Exist?

Hey guys, quick foreground:
I live in Iowa, so the salt has definitely made life for my 95 a bit painful. Last week I had to fix a brake line issue, after working on the front coil/shock buckets, and the rust/age has been making work on the truck difficult. Anyways, I like the trucks so much that I have no problem spending money on mine, but I would rather spend money on one that's worth it, so I decided that I want to sell mine, save up a bit of cash, and find a nice truck from another rust-free state.

Anyways, the reason I made this post is to ask if a very specific truck existed. I'm looking for a 92-96 I6 5spd. Regular Cab Short bed WITH 4x4. Same thing as what I have now, but rust-free, low miles, and it needs 4x4! I have no problem finding trucks, but none of them 4x4, or if they do they had a different motor option, and usually automatic.

If they don't exist, then I would have no problem spending the money on a truck to make it 4x4, but I would obviously rather find one that has it already, so I needed to know, so I don't waste a bunch of time trying to find that specific truck. I have found many nice trucks with that setup, less the 4x4, that I would have no problem driving around!

Thank in advance guys.

Yes bud they are out there, and even in Iowa. My boss just found a 93 4x4 short bed with the 300 and manual transmission. He got it off of a guy that is working here but lives in Texas and needed something that is better on gas. Just have patience and keep looking. I got my 94 (long bed RWD auto) from Oregon, well a guy from Oregon and it has zero rust. Watch the estate auction lists as well as CL, there are also auto sales sites out there. If you wouldn't mind paying a dealer's price you can always put a request in with a local dealer, if they have some kind of network like the ones here they can usually get you what you want, but it costs.

Thanks for letting me know! I have been searching in certain rust free areas like Phoenix Arizona, Texas, and a few other places along with my local CL, but to no avail yet. Like I said, I have no problem finding extended cabs, automatics, 5.0, 4x4, etc. I know that my combo may seem a bit picky, but now that I know it's out there I will do my best to find one worth keeping!

I plan to get one more winter out of my current truck hopefully, and sell it after the snow and salt is gone next year and hopefully have enough saved up to find a truck that I would like. I desperately need new rims and tires, along with many other tings and I figured that after I bought the wheels, and everything else she needed, I would end up having just as much in the truck as it is worth here. Haha.

Lots of rust free trucks in Florida, and they're cheap around here, so there's another place for you to look.

Thanks, I have been slowly sifting through a lot of the places that I know are rust free, and have discovered a few more places. What parts of Florida are best? I am trying to keep it as close to Iowa as possible obviously, but I would cross the globe if that's what it takes to find the truck.

**EDIT** - I just started looking on a Random Florida CL, and I'm already loving it. There are a lot of short beds, which is perfect. Everywhere else has extended cabs. Thanks Sean!

I'm in Orlando, no snow here. The only rusty stuff around here came from up north. North Florida does get snow sometimes but I don't think they use salt.

It's an '83 with only minor surface rust on the roof. Even has the original radio.

Colorado doesn't use much salt. They use Mag Chloride on busy streets & Highways.
Aspen, Carbondale & a few other Mountain towns banded Mag,. Chloride. Kills trees.
Salts gets in the Mountain river & streams & kills fish.
The only rusted vehicles here come from the Mid-West. Feel bad for you guys.
Nevada = rust free.

I'm glad there is no salt here in Colorado but that mag chloride is mean to chrome.
