for tose wondering, you cannot swap the entire axle out of the explorer. the explorer axle is narrower. but i doubt anyone would be doing that because the bolt pattern is different too.

The reason I want to swap is my drum keep grabbing and idk what is making them do it or how to fix something I can't diagnose. I've replaced wheel bearings, and seals with no pay off. The only thing I can figure is my axles are warped

Your rear brakes could be improperly adjusted, or you could have a small pin-hole in one of your lines. My back brakes would catch every once in a while and it would lock the rear tires up. Come to find out, the brake line that goes across the back axle was busted with a small pin-hole leak in it. Check all your brake lines.

Oh yeah I forgot they are 5 x 4.5 vs 5.5 on the 150, have to see if you can convert that.

All I need to know is, is there a rotor that will slip on the rear? I can make up the rest.

not looking to convert to a smaller bolt pattern if anything I'll bump up to a beefier rear end but there are Roger that slip on it just finding a caliper that will fit inside of the wheel. I hate to drop all of 350$ to convert it when I can do it myself, I just can't find a winning combination

My 99 Expedition has rear disc brakes, not sure but I think its 8.8. Isn't
it basicly the same as the f150 ? Seems like it would be a fairly easy
swap job.

yea but it would give you all the brackets and everything you would just have to put the 5x5.5 rotor on, right?
