Default Difference between Fx50 and Ex50's?

Is there any particular difference between the two? Besides the obvious, one beeing a truck and the other being a van.

A friend said the e-line is crap compared to the f-line.

I can't speak for the 9th gens, but I still kick myself for getting rid of my '72 E250 with 302. It was a blast! This isn't a picture of mine, wish I had one around somewhere. Man the stories that van could tell!!!!!!!! One of these days, i'll have another. it was completely stock and ran like a scalded ape. I loved that van.

I've driven allot of 9th gen E series commercial vans. I spent 14 years in the casino business and we had e series vans for tours, maintenance, shuttles, Etc. They all ran good, but the only thing that I found on them was the squeaks and rattles. After about 50K miles, every nut and bolt on the interiors was loose. Of course, being a company vehicle, I can't say that they were taken care of very well. Put any vehicle in the hands of an 18 year old Valet Attendant and all of the movie scenes squalling tires and doing donuts on the top floor of parking garages come true. Lol. Seen it first hand when I got into the Safety Department and had to start doing claims.

They are the same drive train (except rear axle), suspension and almost the same frame but with different bodies bolted on. I've driven some 9th E-150 vans and the only real difference I noticed was being top heavy around turns, but other then that the drove, sounded and worked like an F150.

Even 2wd E-150's-250 and 350 built today still have a similar twin I-beam front suspension.

Not the same driveline, the rear axle is different.

You're right the rear axle is different, I didn't think of that.
