Default Dash swap

Hey guys, newbie to the forum.

I just picked up an 89 and want to change the dash out as part of an interior overhaul. I love my 96's dash, dont care much for the 89's... can I put the newer dash in the older truck, or is it a disaster in the making?

WIll it bolt up? Speedo and other gauges still work?

'89 speedo is mechanical, '92-'96 is electric.

You will have to do a complete exchange, all wiring including the wires going to the speed sensor for the speedo.
