Default So I need help with a few things...

So I'm selling my dirt bike right now and I should get atleast $2300 out of it. Here's what my truck needs done, and I need to know how much to expect for what it needs:

-Front brake pads (plus install)
-Rear main replaced to fix oil leak
-New rear window seal
-Dent in tailgate fixed. (tennis ball size)

Some other things im getting are rain guards, some new interior trim pieces, new wheels, fender flares, and tires and some fog/offroad lights. So how much should I expect to pay for each fix in my list? Thanks for the help.

Also does anyone get a rattle in the front passenger side of their truck around 1000 rpm/s? It sounds like an exhaust clamp, but I've checked and they are all tight. It's driving me crazy!

I would save some money and change your brake pads yourself, if you don't know how, id suggest spending some of theat money on a haynes manual so you can fix a bunch of little stuff yourself.

Id call around, because everywhere is diffrent. Like 95stepside said spend the labour money on break pads and buy a haynes manual. but this is what I figure..

breaks -$40.00-$120.00 depending on quality + 1 hour shop time $75-$90/hour

rear main-this will be the expensive one, you gotta pull your motor right out to get at it, unless you can manage someother way to get your oil pan out... id say if you took it in it would be at least a $700.00 bill.

rear window seal- probably $100 bucks id go get a hole window for a wrecker for about $20.00.. you might even get lucky like me an find a power sliding window!!!

Tailgate- I got my tailgate on my 96 f150 fixed an painted and it cost $300.00. I wish i would have just bought a new one out of LMC instead so then its new and you know what you've got.

vehicles are expensive to up keep.. sounds like all these plans you got are gunna be more then $2300.00 all said and done...

have you tried Lucas oil stop leak yet? i put half a bottle in every oil change and my rear main smartend up! my dads uses it in all the machienary at home and after a couple oil changes we got pretty much no oil leaks now!!!
