Ive came across a really great deal on a motor the guys ran into some finacial problems and needs to sell.. so I have a 1992 f150 5.0/auto.. he has a 5.0 out of a 91 foxbody from top to bottom its bored to 306/ 600 Holley carb/Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake/Gt40 heads/Eagle Rods Pistons and crank/New Mechanical fuel pump/New oil pump/New water pump/New timing chain gear and cover/ Only thing this motor doesnt have to be ready to start is Plugs, Wires, Headers, and Distributor.. I would love to have a list of what im going to need and have to do to get this running in my truck.. Thanks

I'd say move a lot of parts from the truck motor to the new motor, sell what's brand new and can't be used. Make the new motor EFI, switching it to carb is way involved....... plus you lose fuel injection.

Lol then i should just goto the junk yard and by a plain jane 5.0 out of a truck because a map truck isnt gonna handle a e303 cam no point in a mechanical fuel pump would have to change timing chain cover and im doubting it would run with worked gt40 heads... So this reply is pretty much point less

Gasket set thats all? For what? That dont sound like a legit answer... Ill go ahead and get were im at here all i wanna know is how to make my linkage work from my throttle body to carb.. Being a car motor change pick up tube and oil pan everything else should be a simple bolt up...
