ECU is behind the driver side kick panel....Jet chip is a waste of money. They are what I like to call a one size fits all type tune. Is every truck the same? No...does every truck react the same way to the same tune? hell no. Your best bet is gonna be a dyno tuned chip where you take your truck to a shop and buy the chip and the dyno tune and they do it for you. The ebay chips are like throttle body spacers...expensive paperweights. You want more power? Throw an AEM dryflow panel filter in your truck, let the exhaust breathe more and get an underdrive pulley set.

Those ones on ebay are nothing like the Jet performance ones either, those ones on ebay are just a simple risitor that gets pluged in by your air temp sensor, total waste of money as for the jet chip all it really does is exactly what your going to do in the timing bump, it bumps the timing up to i think 16 and plays a little with the air/gas ratios but like flareside guy said stick the 250 into some exhaust and a good intake kit and filter plus all the ignition stuff will do wonders for the 5.0

When I looked into one for my 87'5L I was told they only accommodated MAF/SFI & mine of course, is MAP/EFI. True/False ? I upgraded my ignition, bumped my timing to 16btdc, stretched the gap to .054 and a K&N drop in, Chipping never crossed my mind again since (til you brought it up on this thread).http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump I'm still considering a MAP/EFI to MAF/SFI conversion.
