Default Compatible Donor?

I have been toying with the idea of a parts truck to do several swaps from to preform a sort of rebirth of Grendel.

I have found on CL a 1992 F150 4x2 with an inline 6, and a MANUAL transmission

It's sheet metal is all banged up as a good work horse would be. He says the drive train works, except for an electrical short.

I want to get the transmission, and do a manual swap.

And maybe use the motor, or at least until I can rebuild the 351.

My question is this: Will my 1995 351 E40D 4x4 truck use any of those parts?

Will the ECU be compatible? or Necessary?
How about the wire haress?

AFAIK you need a 4wd version of the manual trans if you want to keep your 4wd.

Ahh I feared something like that... I can't just use my existing transfer case?

Did they even make 4x4s with manual transmissions? Seems to me when ever I find one on CL they are the inline 6 with 4x2.

You can use your current transfer case, but the 4wd & 2wd transmissions have different tailhousings

Around here there was an "enforcer" package, had two options either a 2x4 manual with air or 2x4 automatic without air both both with the inline 6. My dad bought one for 12 grand brand new and that's the main truck you find around here.

So I should be on the look out for a 4x4 shortbed, 93-96 f150 with a manual trans, and a 5.0, or 5.8?

No other flexablility?
