"Thermactor" is the technical name for the catalytic converter, and it has NOTHING to do with the EGR. They're totally independent systems, other than using the same vacuum source, being controlled by the same EEC, & being on the same engine. They share no parts or functionality.

do you think that with the vacuum lines being broke that it would cause it to give this code??

its not the green line. ik this due to i have done a vacume test on all the lines. the only one that does not hold a vacuum is the red line that runs from the coffie can around the back of the intake to the top of it and plugs into it. so that tells me that i have a leak/brake in there some where. could this also cause the 311 code to pup up?

Yes it could you need to find that leak. I had the green one snap and I just black taped it together and it is fixed. Not a leak from it since.

The thermactor is the smog pump, not the catalytic converter.
