So if I pull that little gray piece off it might resolve the misfire issue but might get it fixed by checking timing. I've never messed with timing lights before but dont seem too hard, I just have to purchase one or maybe take it to mechanic depends on how much he will charge me.

Misfire probably a different issue. Can you tell an active code from a continuous memory code?

W/ the spout circuit complete, the ECU advances your timing as it see's fit, depending on what your doing. W/o that circuit, the ECU does not communicate w/ the TFI module, so you are stuck at whatever your base timing is set to. Stock base time is 10BTDC at idle.

Disconnect your battery for...ten minutes. Then reconnect & drive it for a while. Retest.

Did you read Sean's thread on manual testing? I suggest you do.

Ive done that because I had to buy new battery. After installing battery I checked codes koer i got other codes but I didn't get code 213. Then I was told to warm truck up then do the code scan so I did, that's when I got 213.

Well you'll need a timing light, and it will come with instructions.

Ill try!
Before hand, you may want to take a piece of emery paper to the timing marks on the lower pulley.
Engine at op. temp. & at idle.
Red clamp on Pos. battery post.
Black clamp on Neg. battery post.
Third clamp, goes around the #1 plug wire.
If you did it right, it will flash when you pull the trigger.
Stand on one foot, aim it at your face....no wait, forget that part!
From the front, passenger side, aim aim at lower pulley & pull the trigger.

In these pics, timing tape is placed over the timing marks to better see WTF you're doing.

W/O Timing Tape & not emery sanded:

W/ Timing Tape:

The Timing,..um...Pointerator Thingy:

What you'll see, aiming at the Pointerator Thingy, trigger pulled, if you did it right. This is what 13.5 BTDC looks like (10 BTDC to the left/ 20 BTDC to the right):

If you see 10 BTDC w/ Spout plug "in", that ain't right. Let us know what you find.

Personally I just sand the marks w emery paper, then hit the Pointerator Thingy, the 10 BTDC & what I want to set my timing to, w/ paper correction fluid when setting the timing.
