Code 211--PIP
STRONGLY recommended that the TFI be replaced at the same time!
(If you don't, you "will" regret it sooner than later)
I posted a step by step w/ diagrams a few months or two ago on another thread. Unfortunately, My "Alldata" subscription expired last night at midnight. I'll rummage through my Doc's & see if I saved to computer.
Dist. replacement as a unit is covered in the thread denoted above.
Check cost of a Dist. unit as opposed to PIP only. (Warning: No less than three Rebuilt Distributors purchased at Autozone (Cardone brand) were defective out of the box, in this forum in the last month/ One member was given a second bad one when the first bad one was exchanged/ Problem was PIP used when rebuilt)
If you can't find the thread, buy a manual, as there are a few important steps & markings that need to be made to make the reassembly go smoothly.

Thanks I found it on "AllData". the reason i asked if because the people at the napa here told me i wouldn't have to take the Distributor out of the truck to change the PIP but from further research they lied.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
At NAPA? Not a lie really. As that implies malicious intent, as opposed to just passing "misinformation" due to ____________. <---(Place derogatory word of choice here)

If I worked at a place like that, I'd place a sign on the counter next to me that said "Bring me your tired, raggity *** Ford's, yearning for repair...otherwise, you got the wrong guy!"
