Default Clutch help needed

I had my clutch replaced two weeks ago. The only things the mechanic replaced were the clutch and the slave cylinder. He didn't bother replacing the throwout bearing or the release bearing or the release cable which he should have because this is a 1994 F150 and this is the first time the clutch has ever been replaced.

I am now having MAJOR problems. After depressing the clutch, when I release it, I get a kind of shuddering clatter that is very loud and actually makes it sound like my entire engine is ready to blow up. I know the engine is not the problem and that this is a clutch problem. I have also started having a loss in oil pressure since getting my truck back from him.

Apparently there are no good mechanics in my town because I took it to someone else for diagnosis and he told me I need to replace my engine. He never listened to me when I told him I just had my clutch replaced.

I'm not just a stupid girl who doesn't know anything and honestly I'm getting tired of shops dicking me around. I know my stuff. I just don't know everything. Can anyone help me out with this?

No cable, throwout bearing is part of the slave.

Ok. I thought so but I wasn't sure on the throwout bearing. And in my infinite wisdom didn't even think about the fact that I have a hydraulic clutch so I don't have a cable. However, there is a definitely a release bearing and I wonder if that could be the problem?

Throwout bearing is the release bearing.

I am assuming that you notice the drop in oil pressure as the engine is being put on initial load when releasing the clutch pedal. Yes?
If that's the case it's normal to lose a few psi.
If a bigger drop is noticed throughout the engine speed range, it could be an indication of one or more problems.
1. Blown head gasket.
2. Spun main bearing.
3. Bent/broken oil pickup tube in the pan.
4. Worn oil pump.
5. Worn valve guides.
6. Cracked oil galley(ies)
The list goes on. I would start by looking at oil consumption.
If you are adding oil on a regular basis, then you're gonna need to find out where it's going.

Also, a little chatter is to be expected on a new clutch if not properly worn in on the first drive.
If it's shaking like it's having a grand mal seizure, then either your mechanic didn't do what you paid him to do, or, he got a defective one.
Either way, he is responsible to make it right.
If you are unable to get him to do the proper work, then contact a lawyer.

Thanks. I'm not real concerned with the drop in oil pressure. I had an oil pressure test done and it's only a little bit low which is to be expected with as many miles as are on the truck. Honestly it's a dummy guage in the truck anyways and when the mechanic replaced my clutch I think he knocked something loose because it didn't start fluctuating until then.

He finally has my truck back in his shop and is completely replacing the clutch again on his dime because I pretty much forced him to go for a ride with me so that he could hear the clatter and smell it burning up by threatening him with a lawsuit. He's not going to like me very much when I remind him to have my flywheel resurfaced since he didn't have that done the first time because I'm going to tell him he's going to have to pay for it since I very clearly told him to replace all clutch parts and have the flywheel resurfaced when I took it to him the first time.

I honestly have to say I'm getting really tired of mechanics treating me like I'm just some stupid girl who doesn't know anything because the fact is that I do. This particular mechanic should have picked up on that when I refused to pay him $800 for replacing the clutch and told him he was smoking crack. I paid him the $200 in parts and $300 in labor and told him I wouldn't pay him any more than that since that was all I would have paid somewhere else. I think I should start having a man take my truck in when I need something done that I can't do myself. LOL

i was going to suggest it being a flywheel issue. If it wasnt replaced or resurfaced it would definitely clatter badly.
