Probably a scam. It has a resistor attached to one end of it? This question has been address once or twice before. If they were really worth it, you would be able to buy them at the dealer and your local auto parts store.

You can get more power installing a good intake, and this will be real power. use the search engine here for a posting I had a month or so ago which explains the scam these 30 dollar "chips" are you are paying 30 buck for a .70 cent resistor that does nothing put make the temperature sensor thing the engine is below 32 degrees so it runs ruinously rich all of the time. with fuel above 3 buck a gallon do you really want to waste this much fuel.

Go here for the straight dope on this rip off. http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...m_9.202000.htm

The 302 V8 with a good engine build can do more the 400 HP. better yet you can also get more power by installing a 460 V8, and it's matching transmission and transfer case it all depends on how much money you have to spend and how much of the work you can do yourself, On Trucks they re-did a Bronco II the model which featured the twin shocks mounted on each side of the front end. The engine was a more of less stock rebuild of a 460. They took it out on the trail and it was unstoppable, and I mean fording rivers with water half way up the doors. With the price of fuel getting to be what it is I would imagine 460's would not be on the top of the list of engines out there people are snapping up. 460's are sweet engines for 4X4 work because of it's low end torque, and stone reliable because you don't have to run them on the ragged edge to get the power you need.
