Default Bearings

The first project for my 1996 f150 5.8l 4x4 with auto locking hubs is to do the front bearings. I have read the haynes manual (so of course i'm an INSTANT expert on mechanics) and know that I need a special 4x4 tool to remove the lock nut and adjusting nut. Since there are tons out there, does anybody have a picture, part number, link etc so I can see exactly what I should have before it's apart? Also, the manual calls for checking/replacing the spindle and spindle bearing. Since i've never done this particular task before, is that more then I want to get into? Especially when it calls for fun tools like bearing drivers.

Thanks in advance

Hub NUT WRENCH T95T-1197-A. You state you have a manual so you have the proceedure and torque specs.

I'm good with the procedures and torque for the bearings, but the spindle bearing is a new one. It mentions using a slide hammer and bearing puller to get them out, plus marking the depth to make sure the new bearings are installed at the correct depth. I guess what i'm asking is it worth pulling and replacing since it's a high wear item? I've done the 4x4 hubs on my 85 ramcharger a handful of times, but i've never played with the spindle bearings.

Once you get it apart look at it. If the bearing needles are gone then you have to replace it. If they spin well put some grease on them and put it back together.
