Default CEL code 122- ACT sensor ?

hey guys i just did a cel test on my truck and the codes i got was 122 during the KOEO and Continuous codes test, then i got 998 for the KOER test.
i searches for the codes and got this
122- ACT sensor signal is less than self-test minimum of 0.2v
998- Hard Fault Present

so what do these codes mean and are they right? what do i need to solve the problem?

thanks
Bill

I would erase the codes by disconnecting the battery, run the truck some and check for codes again. I'm not liking the 998, probably a bad computer.

An ATC sensor is only $10 bucks, but 998 sure isn't a lucky number! It sometimes shows when a short has occurred. Not always catistrophic for the computer, but the only way to find out is doing as "JCMS" suggested.

By the way, 122 is throttle position sensor circuit below minimum voltage.

so im not sure if this has anything to do with the these codes but i looked at my fuse box under the hood and it looks like im missing about 4 fuses and 1 relay. i was thinking it might have something to do with the hard fault code. and maybe the TPS but im not sure

If you dont have some of the power features (locks, windows, etc.) you are going to have empty spots in your fuse panel. Those codes aren't from missing fuses. Also the only relay in my fuse panel is my turn signal flasher. And I have a few open fuse spots as I have manual windows and locks.

I didnt either, I got one from a truck at the junkyard. But you might be able to find a diagram online. Just google it. The internet is an amazing invention.

The fuses are identified on the back of the fuse cover.
