i was wondering what would happen if i cut one of the cats off my truck i have two on there

 

what year and engine? are they in series or parallel? i had a 95 with a 5.8 and the exhaust broke off at the exit of the front cat, sounded pretty mean, still ran fine. do you have to worry about emissions? that might stink things up the line for you. and remember, technically, its illegal to remove a cat

 

its 1995 4.9 inline 6 and there series and yeah i know

 

It will pollute slightly more. Mine are hollow, both of them.

 

and another question someone told me i have an exhaust manafold leak how would i go about fixing that i havent heard of that befor

 

theres a gasket between the manifold and head

 

do i just replace it

 

yeah, i recommend soaking your exhaust manifold bolts in PB Blaster or a similar penetrating lube. give it a good drench two times a day for a few days at least to avoid busting the bolts
