Cab lights??
Yeah the headliner is no problem, it came down in my dads truck. One day he came home and handed me the keys and said you fix it lol. So I took some quick drying spray adhesive kinda stuff, basically spray glue that's what it smelt like. And evened out and that was it. Took me 30 minutes. Not that that really had much to do with what y'all said...
It wouldn't be hard to wire the cab lights into the factory switch, because you don't actually need to run it off the switch. You can run your (+) and (-) off one of the parking light 2 wire (+/-) harness, that way when you turn on your parking / headlights at the switch your cab lights come on too. Thats the way I would do it anyways. I think taking the headliner down without messing anything up would be the hardest part, especially since my headliner is cherry. And as far as measuring I would lets say you want to be 10" back away from the windshield on the cab. so you would mark with a pencil every 1/2" along the top of the winshield then measure back 8" on every 1/2" mark. Then take some penstripping tape and connect the dots this would make the cab lights parallel to the top of the windshield. That just my opinion and the way I would start out to do it, whats that saying...."better said than done"!

My truck has them. They're really old, broken, missing lenses and they don't leak inside. I don't have a headliner either, just the factory steel painted roof. So wherever the wires and screws go, they don't go all the way through.
Didn't use any silicone/sealant in the holes and they have never once leaked. Going on 2 years now. Easy job. took a little over an hour.
