a/c problems

Post a/c problems

just put on a used a/c pump because my old one seized. then i refilled it with redtek to 40 psi and now the a/c pump won't turn when i put it on max a/c or normal a/c. whats the deal??

You need to add more, Think still to low. try to get to 100 psi that should be enough for pressure swithc to close. Operating pressure its about 200-250 psi deppending on ambient temperature

An a/c guy told me these compressors are junk brand new.

and hopefully to vacuumed all the air out when you installed it or it wont get cold...

i let all pressure out hrough the schrader valve. filler er up. and guess what? its cold!

Shoulda vacuumed it. It would be colder.

yep....how cold does it get out the vents on max AC...use a kitchen thermometer...

If you don't have the equipment & know how to use it & what needs to be done, you're better off taking it to a A/C shop. I'm not as psycic as "JCMC", but I'm seeing dark clouds in your A/C function future! This **** gets expensive fast when you pooch a component! They'll Evac it for a small service charge.

That's where I got my vacuum. I returned my AutoZone gauges after one use, they were crap.
