Default A/C issues

I bought my 90 5.0 March of 2013 and the a.c.hasn't worked since

Today since its nice out I decided to put some juice in it to see if it works

I put a leak stopper in first which it took fine then a small can of coolant

As I was putting the coolant in my truck shut off. It started up normally (with the a.c. off) I turn the a.c. on and it dies again.

So I try revving it with the a.c.on, it didn't shut off but kept making a clicking sound every six or so seconds

Any thoughts on what it could be, I would check but I'm by myself and cant get anyone to rev it

If the a/c hasn't worked in a while then the compressor is most likely seizing up.
