There's no such thing as a good cheap welder...

There is harbor freight, but you'll sacrifice good for cheap there, you could probably get away with a HF bender though. Might have to beef it up to be good though

I should of said affordable welder. Ive learned by now cheap and vehicles dont mix.

you can get cheap things lol. like..... not working non flammable and non explosive things.

Check craiglist for name brand used ones. I prefer miller myself, but that's because they're all I used back when I was a welder.

If you can, try to get the complete setup, ie tank, regulator, and hoses. That shat will nickel and dime ya

agree with you 100% miller is all i ever used and love that brand, all that other crap isnt to expensive, atleast wasn't 5 years ago, but it will definitely kill your wallet buying it all.

You could also go flux core and not need the tank and all that, but welding with gas produces a much better weld IMO

What is the problem with HF welders? I have been thinking about getting one of their wire welders for some light bodywork and exhaust welding. Has anyone actually used one. I've had a lot of good luck with some of their tools and not so much with others. For $100 it seems like a good deal.

I use a 125 Lincoln welder from home depot. Uses .030 innersheild flux wire.
