Yeah, that's pretty much what I wound up doing when the chainsaw case kicked out from under me. I'm just trying to think ahead for a better solution. I think I am going to build a couple of portable platforms, maybe on spring loaded casters. This way they'll roll easily, but with weight on them the casters will be compressed and the platforms will sit on my garage floor and hopefully not move.

All this trouble to not have to raise your leg and put Ur foot on the bumper and lean over... What is the world coming to? Besides just fish it around the crank and pull tight then water pump and keep pressure on the belt and work Ur way around. Stools to put a belt on. Jeez try doing shorty headers in these trucks then talk to be about a solution to that problem

Look beyond the obvious. I'm talking about more labor intensive procedures. Doing the belt just illustrated the problem of doing something so simple on a higher vehicle. Forgive me for wanting to equip my garage with a tool to make my life easier.

A bit pricey to say the least. Over $100 for some plastic and safe-tread.
