Is it a roller tappet or flat tappet engine?

You have a few choices:

1) There are companies that specifically sell break in oils, such as Royal Purple.

2) You can use a motor oil for diesels since they are heavy duty with extra wear additives such as Shell Rotella 10w-30.

3) You can get a break in additive or engine oil supplement to add to the oil such as Rislone EOS, Redline or Lucas. This increases the zinc content.

One thing to note is since it looks like you have a high performance flat tappet, you might want to look at either diesel oils, special high zinc flat tappet formulated oils or continue to use an engine oil supplement for each oil change.
