mine made it 100 miles of a 140 mile trip home but ran out of oil and water on interstate so left it and came back with a trailer. would crank the next day and run if i add water and oil but decided to tear it down. and might i say it was running decent with cyl head cracked nearly from pass side to driver side. about every 30 minutes would have to add 3 qts of oil and 2 gallons of water. lol it would hold its own in 80mph traffic until bout 20 min and would drop down to 50mph and let it cool off for 15 min while i added fluid.
SIDE NOTE: cracked head, water passage oil galley, valve stem, and combustion chamber with all the smog plugged and bypassed i was still avg 18mpg on interstate with 25-30 mile stop and restarts.

nope. i torqued 16 intake/exhaust bolts to head. and also intake/exhaust manifold bolts have a thick washer that doesnt come off and have different stampings on the head. in the pics on left is I/E bolts on right is random leftover bolt.

ah ha found it. for some reason their is a random bolt behind the alt/smog pump bracket. found it looking through my teardown pics. i guess its for different style bracket or holding tab on various models.

my manifold has both types of bolts, and both are the exact ones you showed, the ones with the washer locked on are the ones that contact both the intake and exhaust, and the one without the washer bolts to just the exhaust manifold.

see finger.
