Default blinker issue!!

k so on my 93 f150 i went to use my left blinker. well instead of blinking it just sat on without blinker. thinking wtf i tried the right one that one blinked. so i went to napa and got a new thermal flasher fuse. that didnt work. so i thought maybe its the seven way so i unpluged that . so as of right now its blinking, but i was wondeirng if anyone may know the problem. im hoping its not the multi function switch.

Eh, have you verified that all lights are working? A thermal flasher needs a certain load to heat up enough to switch.

Been my experience that if one bulb is out, can cause the constant-ON that you describe.

x2. Bulb filament out, no complete circuit.

x3 on the bulb. if its intermitant its totaly the bulb's filament bouncing around causing a sub par contact. If you want to be super cool go get some LED replacement bulbs for it. They should last for thousands of hours.

x5 on the bulb just in case you didnt get the picture. lol, if its the front staying on then the rear is out, visa versa... later vehicles do just the opposite, when one goes out the other one blinks real fast

I believe the ones that blink fast when a bulb is out are the electronic flashers, Thermal flashers will blink fast if there is to much of a load on them. I found this out when hooking up trailer before using the trailer harness, previous owner had one of those plug in adapters for trailer lights.

Yea, if the level is too low, the blinkers won't work properly...
