BFG users check this out!!
In my American Gov. class we had three WW II Vets talk to us about life "back in the day" they brought LIFE magazines that were released back then. I was cruisin through a couple of course looking for old Ford ads didnt come across any but did come across a BFG ad.

BFG and MICHELIN were used on various vehicles in the army at the time. The issue was dated, December 20, 1943. A year subscription was $4.50 keep in mind this is LIFE magazine!
I have utmost respect for Veterans and POW. Hearing from a POW in person was incredible, 42 months captive started at just over 200 lbs left at barely over 100 lbs.

Michelin was also one of the companies, along with Standard Oil to remove the functional public transit system and force the creation of the freeway system in California. They bought properties, train stations and subways and destroyed them, walled them in and filled them with concrete. Good way to promote your tire and gasoline business. Take away the alternative. Many of the tunnels run for miles under L.A. today running into block walls or buildings.
