Default Bent Radius Arm

Well, I was out blowin off some steam on a back road, took a curve doin like 50 or 60 (gravel road) and lost control. I bent my driver-side radius arm. Anyone know about how much this is gonna cost? I'm in highschool and this it my daily driver.

Depends on whether you could do it yourself.. Chances are you'll probably need a new radius arm and they are a bit*h and a half to separate from the axle

I can do nearly anything myself. I'm just low on funds.

You could get an arm from a junkyard.. Cept' you'd have to pull the radius arm out from the axle at the junkyard, and those ttbs weigh a ton. I'm a big guy and it took all of me and a 3 ton floor jack to get mine in. But if you can get the radius arm off, its basically the same re-installing it.... Just bring plenty of pb blaster, a big *** breaker bar and a BFH

LMC Parts # 45-2721 = $70.00 each plus shipping & Tax.

www.LMCTRUCK.com

I replaced a Drivers side Radius Arm on a 1976 F100 4x2 years ago.
It was an all day long project in my back yard.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT:
Grind-off the rivets from the radius arm bracket with a side grinder and
install # 8 hardened bolts back in their place when you put it back together.
This will make it a lot easier to replace the radius arm.

Most of the yards 'round here won't let ya pull your own parts anymore. It's just gonna be payin, then installing the "new" arm. I got 2 shops with access to any tool i could need that I can use, I think I'll be good.

Replaced mine a few months ago, best price I found was LMC truck, It's an sob of a job and a fire wrench helps alot. should do the bushing also since you'll have it apart anyway.

I got one from a junk yard, pulled for 50 bucks and had it installed in about an hour with hand tools and a few jackstands. The bitch is the bottom bolt going up into the Axle, I think it tq down to 250-300ft-lbs. So take your vitiman MAN before you start or use a long pipe on a breaker bar. It's really not bad to do.

I don't guess I mentioned that it's a 4x4, so the arm is actually $120.

The passenger side looks fine, but the axle is about 7-10 degrees off. What else should I need?
