is there a switch somewhere for the bed light? how does this thing turn on, for all I know there is no bulb in there but I need to know how to turn it on before I can figure that out haha!

 

Are you talking about the third brake light? on the top of the back of the cab? it automatically comes on.

 

its a 3rd brake light? never would of thought that as they were not required in 1993 IIRC.. PLus is a clear lense, so I was guessing it was a "cargo" type light..

guess its either dead or doesnt work because it doesnt light up when I hit the brakes..

it isnt a third brake light on mine. it comes on when i turn my light **** left.

 

turning it all the way to the left only turns on the inside cab light.. Time to check the bulb, thanks guys

 

mine does both. so yeah, fuses and bulbs to check.

 

Yeah, that's a 'cargo light'. If I remember right, it should also come on when you open the door.

 

The cargo light in the bed for my truck only comes on when I turn the light **** left. Opening the door only turns on the interior lights

 

I may be wrong. My door-jam switch or something else in the courtesy light system don't work and my interior lights only come on when i manually switch anyway.
