Default Bad Speaker?

So my passenger side door speaker has gone fuzzy and just doesnt sound right, so it looks like it may be time to replace it (if i replace one i will go ahead and do both).

Is this an easy swap? i know i have to take off the door panel to get to it, but will i have to cut wires or is it a plug-up deal?

Also some suggestions on what speakers to buy would be helpful!

Thanks

Get Sony or Jensen, or a good brand, you might have to pigtail the factory, the terminals on the new speakers are smaller than he factory and will fall off.

hmm dont know much about channel fried,

but the speaker kinda has the harsh crackly sound to it, but the left one seems to be fine.

Ill look into it.

and the terminals are smaller on the new ones? Im not the best at electrical work, but that shouldnt be a problem

It will also do that if the speaker wires are grounding out.

I replaced my two speakers in my truck. They were missing so I had no choice. Not sure how the factory stuff is, but mine hooked right up. I put in 2 Kicker DS series speakers. They sound great!

what size are they (3.5?) and about how much do they cost?

Hehe question overload!

Make sure you test the speakers to see if they fit or not. They're 6.5 inch speakers. I bought some for my truck and they didn't fit because different brand speakers design the basket on the back of the speaker differently. Some just dont "seat" right in the speaker hole. I bought a different brand of 6.5 inch speakers and they fit perfect.
