Default Axle Flange

I got a regeared axle from a 87 bronco and it has the straps that hold the driveshaft on. how can i change it to the flange style to put on my 93 f150? When i take the nut in the center off and put on the other one do i have to torque it down or is there some sort of spacer i have to put in? Thanks

Just pull the nut and the flange. I just tighten the nut as much as I can.

You can also just pull the drive shaft flange off and strap the u joints to the rear.

Incorrect, the pinion is internally shimmed...tighten that sucker down as far as it will go.
